As a passionate steward of the land, he is always looking for ways to improve the habitat at BRB for all wildlife including deer, waterfowl, and fish. As the operations manager of BRB, Steven upholds the values and standards of Blue Roan Bend Outfitters on a daily basis. He has been hunting at Blue Roan Bend for the last 20 years, so his knowledge of the land and how to put his hunters on the game speak for itself. Steven is always focused on his customer’s experience and prides himself in creating long lasting clients and friends.

The journey of Blue Roan Bend Outfitters started with a prominent farmer and rancher in the Wharton County back in 1956. Clay Meyer, affectionately called Meme by friends and family, was in search of some lost cattle when he literally stumbled upon Blue Roan Bend Ranch nestled along the banks of the Colorado River. In awe of its beauty and diverse habitat, Meme knew this ranch was a one of a kind so he set out to purchase it. He dedicated the early years of BRBR as a place to raise his cattle and cleared undesirable forestry, which over time created a better habitat for wildlife. Meme’s early vision left a blueprint for the future generations to continue his legacy.
